June 2017, Upwind to Hawaii

Sauvage has left Fiji, after a season of birdwatching in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, and an expedition for the search of Amelia Earhart plane , offshore Howland island and a surf season in Fiji. We are sailing upwind to Hawaii. In July we ll be following the tracks of Russian explorers in Hawaii with the same Russian team who has been studying the Russian history inNorth America.

February 2017, Solomon Islands

Sauvage is in Solomon Islands until March 2017. We have just finished with success a 1 month expedition for birdwatchers looking for rare petrels , we stayed at sea between Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea.
We are going to explore the Solomon Islands lagoons, mangroves and rivers looking for crocs and waves and great dives.
We ll be back in Fiji April 2017.

Sauvage is crossing from Hawaii to Fiji and we ll arrive mid October in Vanua Levu , Fiji for some refit jobs and surfing, diving, hiking until mid December.
Spaces available for Greenland cruises and the North west passage 2018 from Greenland to Alaska.
And also available for Solomon Islands exploration in February and March 2017 and Polynesia from June to September 2017.

Sauvage has arrived in Honolulu after 20 days of crossing from Mexico. Now we are getting ready for the birdwatching xpedition around Maui and Kauai. Next month we cross for Alaska.

Sauvage leaves today for the offshore crossing of 3000 NM from Mexico, Bahia Banderas to Oahu, Hawaii. We will be in Honolulu beginning of April for a birdwatching expedition and then we sail up to Alaska Prince William Sound in June.

Sauvage has arrived in Cabo san Lucas and will be available for cruises from December to February, from Mazatlán, La Paz, Loreto in the Sea of Cortez for sailing and hiking along the Sierras and canyons, cactus forest, fishing and diving, snorkeling with the sea lions of Islotes, hiking in the canyons, SUP in the turquoise waters of the multiple bays in the sea of Cortez islands, whale watching, sometimes sperm whales.

August 2015, Alaska

Sauvage is sailing down to South East from Cordova, Alaska heading to South East Alaska, then California, August and September sailing.
The exploration cruises Sauvage will start again in November 2015, from Ensenada, Mexico to sail down the Pacific Coast of Baja California.

From December to February 2016, Sea of Cortez, Mexico cruises.
Then we'll cross from Cabo san Lucas to Big Island to hike up the volcano park.
And back in Alaska in june 2016 for a summer season.

In 2017, we 'll be in Vanuatu, Solomon islands, Fiji, French Polynesia and Chile, Arica.

In 2018, Sauvage is back in the Caribbean via Panama, to sail up to
Jamaica, Cuba, Miami, NY, New Foundland to prepare a North West Passage
from Greenland to Alaska….

Sauvage is cruising and exploring Alaska kenai fjords and Glaciers, next stop in Seward and the next cruise starts July 23 from Seward to explore beautiful Prince William Sound, approach the glaciers, whale watching, bear watching, kayaking, SUPing in the fjords, hiking up alpine ridges.

Sauvage is sailing in Japan, we have arrived from the South, the tropical islands of ishigaki, then we sailed up to Shizuoka, Honshu to prepare the birdwatching expedition in Ogassawara Islands, Bonin islands in May.

Sauvage is anchored in the beautiful Marshall islands until the 10th of February exploring the atolls for scubadiving, SUPing and snorkeling. WE'll be in Guam island for a big provisionning and Japan in March.

We are 1200 NM off Marquesas islands. We'll arrive for Xmas in Nukyu HIva. We have excellent weather with steady tradewinds, and we caucht 3 tuna, 1 mahi mahi, 1 ahoo until now.

Great sailing in the trades, great scubadiving in the passes, in the lagoon, beautiful corals, sandy beaches, remote and wild, wrecks from the War, possibilities of SUP ing and surfing.

Sauvage leaves from Chile for another crossing to Marquesas Islands after a 18 day expedition from Valparaiso to Robinson Crusoe Island, alejandro Selkirk and drift in the Humboldt current to study and photograph sea birds with a group of passionate birdwatchers.
We ll be in Marquesas Islands around Xmas time, and Kiritimati in January, then Marshall Islands in February , Guam on March, Japan in April via Ishigaki and Yokohama to the Ogassawara Islands.
Alaska season in summer from June to Sept.

We have arrived in Chile after 33 days of offshore crossing from Tahiti .We saw lots of albatros as soon as we were in the Latitude 30 South, Some whales and dolphins and gorgeous bright red sunsets. It's cold for us here in Quintero, Valparaiso, Chile, We prepare Sauvage for the 18 day expedition for seabord photography in November.


  


September 2014

Sauvage is leaving Tahiti for a 4000 NM offshore crossing, non stop to Valparaiso, Chile. We had a great sailing, diving and fishing season in Tuamotu atolls. We leave tomorrow a Polynesian tropical paradise for a Chilean adventure in San Juan Fernandez Islands in November.

Sauvage is enjoying a long stop in Marquesas islands, Nuku HIva , part of a comeback in French Polynesia. Lots of great hiking in the bush, scubadiving to observe the manta rays, hammerheads, grey sharks, freediving and spearfishing, and enjoy the marquesan culture.

Sauvage has arrived in Nuku Hiva, Marqueas Islands ,after 18 days of offshore crossing starting from Oahu. The guests have enjoyed troll fishing for mahi mahi, sextant classes onboard, freshly baked cookies and the offshore sailing beating in South East trade winds .. .with a special treatment for the crossing of the Equator Line.
Sauvage is now available for exploration cruises in Marquesas Islands from January 2014, from Nuku Hiva. Sailing in this remote, wild archipelago of High peaks Islands.

Honolulu, Hawaii, November 2013

We are in Honolulu, Oahu preparing Sauvage for the offshore passage from Oahu to Marquesas Islands, Nuku Hiva. We leave December 5 from Honolulu for a 20 day crossing in the NE trades then we cross the Equator Line and get good sailing in the SE trades of the Southern Hemisphere. You share the daily chores, day and night watches, get a feel of the sea life, troll fishing. Then we'll explore several road stead anchorages in Nuku Hiva before des embarking at Taiohae, Nuku Hiva, Marquesas Islands.
20 days, from December 5 to 25, 2013.


We'll offer Exploration cruises around Marquesas Islands from Nuku Hiva , in January 2014.

Sauvage is back after a wonderful exploration cruise at the foot of the Katmai Volcanos, for bear watching, whale watching and fishing. The weather was sunny and ... hot.
We leave now for a Russian expedition in the aleutian islands.

Sauvage has arrived in Kodiak Island after 16 days of crossing in light winds and fog but we have been rewarded by a beautiful landing , with the chains of mountains visible in the backgroundand humpabacks in the South of the Island.
We are preparing Sauvage in the harbour among the local salmon fishing boats for the 2 expeditions Kodiak and Aleutian Islands.

Nuku Hiva, Polynesia, May 2nd 2013,

Sauvage is back in Polynesia for a short stop before another offshore crossing from Nuku HIva to Hawaii to prepare the Northen hemisphere summer season in Alaska, Aleutian Islands from July to september .
We enjoyed great sailing from Rapa nui to Pitcairn Island and a wonderful stop anchored in Bounty Bay .

Sauvage is back from Antarctica, and already sailing in the Patagonian Channels for an exploration cruise in the fjords, at the foot of the glaciers of Campo Hielo Sur, from Puerto Williams to Puerto Montt in February/March.

We have available space for the cruise starting February 17 to March 3 , from Puerto Natales to Puerto Montt, 15 days.

Sauvage has stopped a few days in Rapa Nui , Easter island, after 30 days of offshore non-stop sailing from San Diego, California, 4000 NM. Sauvage is currently sailing to the Great South, to prepare the 2013 Patagonia season : great sailing , hiking , in the chilean Channels at the foot of the glaciers...

Sauvage is back in San Diego after an easy smooth crossing from Juneau , South east Alaska , and a beautiful season of cruising in the Aleutian Islands , Kodiak, Alaska Peninsula , Prince william Sound and South East Alaska : snowy peaks and volcanoes,bears, whales,eagles, orcas, salmon and halibut fishing, stand up paddling in the ice,in front of the glaciers , of the bears , great hikes up in the mountains and snowboarding.
We are preparing Sauvage now for the sailing down to Patagonia via mexico , Easter Island next month...

Sauvage has arrived in Ishigaki after 5 days of crossing from Philippines. Friendly people here in Japan, we were spoiled and taked everywhere in surf and SUP spots . We leave tomorrow for Nagasaki and North.

Sauvage has arrived in Singapore after a smooth coastal sailing along East Malaysia. We've anchored in some bays and fjords in the Strait of Malacca to explore the jungle. We are preparing the sailing program up the China Sea to Borneo, Sarawak, Brunei, then Philippines and Japan in April/May to be in Alaska in June.

Sauvage is getting ready to set sail from Phuket ,Thailand to Singapore via the Strait of Malacca. 15 days of sailing and stops in the islands of Malaysia and along the West Coast of Malaysia. Departure March 8.

Sauvage is in Thailand, back from an exploration charter cruise in the islands around Phuket, West Coast Thailand in the bay of Phanga and islands of KHO Lanta, Kho Phi phi leh. Beautiful karst formations and caves that end up in beautiful internal lagoons with tropical vegetation. Ideal for kayak and SUP explorations. We leave for another cruise in those islands in February, departure from Phuket.

Sauvage has arrived in Indonesia Bali, after a fantastic cruise in the Islands of Nusa Tengarra , east of Bali. We had good fishing on our way, not much wind but that's the season. We saw the Komodo dragins in the beautiful Island of Rinca, and had great SUping and surfing in uncrowded waves in remote islands. The people, muslim , christian or hinduists are so nice and smiling.

Sauvage has left Cairns, to sail up the Queensland coast, along the Great Barrier, to Cape York and Darwin. Tomorrow we leave for Kupang, Timor for a great cruise in NUsa Tengara islands, from Roti to Flores, Komodo, lombok and Bali.

Sauvage has arrived in Vanuatu, Santo island , after 20 days of non stop sailing from Tahiti. It was a fast ride in strong trades. We got red tuna...The Ni vanuatu are so friendly, we spent a week in Santo anchorages, enjoying tribal traditional dances and hikes in the bush. We leave today for Cairns, Australia. We 'll be in October in Indonesia available for exploration cruises, scuba diving and surfing from Timor to Roti, Lombok, Komodo and Bali.

Sauvage is leaving Polynesia, heading West to Fiji, and Australia for Action surf/Sup/kite /scubadive cruises and exploration in the Fiji Islands, then along the Great Barrier and crossing of the Arafura Sea to the Indonesian islands. Sauvage is back in Polynesia after a 1month offshore passage, 4000 NM from Puerto Montt to Tahiti, great fishing during the crossing: 1 mahi mahi and 1marlin.We are so happy to be back in the blue lagoons, ready for beautiful dives in the passes of Tuamotu, SUP, surf and kite, sailing between the atolls with the tradewinds from May to July.

Sauvage has arrived in puerto Montt after 1 month of sailing through the Chilean Channels with a Great team of girls. We enjoyed great hikes up the mountains and kayaked up the rivers or SUPed when bad weather was forcing us to find shelter in nice little creeks , in deep fjors at the foot of glaciers. The crab pot was always full either with centollas (King Crabs) or Dungeness style crabs. Now we are preparing Sauvage for the non stop Pacific Crossing to Tahiti. We plan a 1 month crossing. We'll be available for Active Discovery cruises, scubadive, surf, kitesurf... in the Tuamotu Islands in May/June.

We have 3 young female crew this time for the beautiful sailing trip up the Chilean Channels to Puerto MOntt. Didier is the captain of an all femal crew then, 5 girls including myself and Cloe, he's quite happy and the administrative processof clearing in and out from Argentina and Chile goes smoothly this time with our gang of female crew.
The sailing and exploration of the Channels has started with a beautiful sunny weather. We can see all the peaks of the Darwin Cordillera,the blue glaciers, the dolphins follow us and we approach the sea lions colonies. As soon as we are stuck in an anchorage in a
fjord ecause of bad weather(headwinds) we'll have the kayaks and SUP boards ready for some exploration in the fjords as well as the crab pots to catch some delicious"centollas.

Sauvage is back from the Antarctic Peninsula, 1 month Expedition cruise with a wonderful weather.WE saw lots of icebergs, amazing wildlife :penguins, whales, orcas...beautiful scenery of high mountains, ice shelf, excellent snow for snowboarding . WE leave tomorrow for a Cape Horn-glacier trip from Ushuaia.
WE have spaces available for the sailing cruise up from Usuaia , through the chilean channels to Castro. Great cruise in a wild area of Patagonia, along the Darwin Cordillera and Campo Hielo Sur.

Sauvage has arrived in Ushuaia, getting ready for the Antarctic trip on the 4th of January.
There´s 1 bunk available for this unique cruise to the Peninsula.
We had a 15 day crossing from Rapa Nui to the entrance of Golfo de Penas and we transited in the Chilean Channels surrounded by moutains. We got fresh snow on the deck...

Sauvage has made a beautiful landfall in Rapa Nui, after 23 days of  crossing from Puerto Vallarta.. WE had  couple of birdie visitors on board, boobies staying for the night and ...egrets ??? We got 2 mahi mahi, no tuna. We crossed the Doldrums with squally conditions and it was very cold when we were close to Galapagos. Approaching Rapa Nui is really emotioanal, we saw our first Moais as we were preparing to anchor in Hanga Roa, facing the interior of the Island. The swell conditions are good , the anchorage is not too rolly .

WE explore the island the whole week and we'll be leaving next week for a non stop crossing to Puerto Williams and Ushuaia.

Sauvage has just finished the bottom paint job in Enesenada Mexico, with a new look, new logo for the Round the World expedition cruises.. We leave tomorrow for Puerto Vallarta, have a surfing break before crossing to Easter Island in NOvember.

Sauvage has arrived in San Diego, California after an offshore crossing of 16 days with good wind except a bit of headwinds on the arrival .We reprovision for the Antarctica and Patagonia season . We'll have a stop in Mexico for a quick bottom paint job and we'll sail to Easter Island in october.

Some unks are available for the crossing Mexico o Rapa Nui , and from Rapa Nui to Punta Arenas .

We are leaving Valdez for another 15 day exploration of Prince William Sound, Alaska for a great sailing cruise at the foot of the Chugach Mountains. We ‘re going salmon fishing, to observe the black and brown bears, hiking in the forest and alpine zone and approach the calving Glaciers, then we’ll leave early September for a non stop offshore sailing across the Gulf of Alaska to San Diego, 2000NM offshore passage to California, following the whales migration to warmer climate.

Sauvage is embarking in a new adventure cruise Programme : a Round the World Trip with legs, offshore crossings and discovery cruises in the the less travelled regions of the World. Meeting new cultures and exploring wilderness starting from Alaska now , ending in 2013 in Alaska after a North West passage. We'll sail North to South for adventure cruises in Patagonia and Antarctica and back up in the Tropics for discovery cruises in the remote islands, sailing, exploring and fun gliding sports in uncrowded spots like in Tuamotu or Vanuatu, South Indonesia, Archipelago of Mergui, Andaman, Tanzania, Mozambique, Madagascar and more...
